Bit of a thrashing
Probably 20 plus years ago this would be a massive shock

Cracking win for England but just a shame the Windies are no where are the powerhouse they were in the early 80's.

Their strength probably not helped by many of their players taking part in CPL T20 at the moment.

Was Root wrong to declare?
I was surprised last night thought they would bat till they were out as often see over 300 runs scored in one day
Suppose it made last day exciting but think making game safe more important

I actually thought Root called it right as 320 was a defendable score, particularly for a second innings on 4th/5th day. He was hoping to take a couple of early wickets on Monday night and have all day yesterday to skittle them all out.

In fairness the West Indies batted very well yesterday despite some fairly decent England bowling.

Also the Yorkshire track unexpectantly never gave way either on the 4th and 5th day (which they usually do), which did not help us.

Not a bad day after City's win as England win the test series 2/1
Anderson takes another 6 wickets after taking his 500th

Good day so far with City and England - is hoping for an Espanyol win at the Nou Camp tonight just a bit much to ask for...?  :)
