As Guy Mowbray says below this IS the biggest game in the Premier League season so far and wouldn't it be typical if they ended our run, i never watch united so have to rely on what they are saying about their recent form on the radio sounds like it could be a nail biter lets hope we come through with our run intact.

TEAM NEWS

Manchester United talisman Paul Pogba is suspended for Sunday's derby.

Fellow midfielder Nemanja Matic will play despite a knock, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Phil Jones return.

Marouane Fellaini will face a late fitness test.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will make a late decision on the fitness of Vincent Kompany, after he withdrew from the squad to face Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.

David Silva is available after a muscular issue ruled him out in midweek but Fabian Delph is a doubt after illness.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Jose Mourinho: "I don't need to know that a derby is something special for the people.

"For us, in the end, it's three points but honestly, I think for the people born in the city and feeling the colours, it's a good positive rivalry and a special match.

"For me, it's one more big match against one of the best teams in the country. We are a better team than last year. I think City is also better than last season."

Pep Guardiola: "Going to Old Trafford is a pleasure. That's why we are here. I will enjoy it, definitely.

"I am looking forward to arriving and playing. I love to be there, working out what we can do to beat them.

"After we will shake hands."

MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES

Guy Mowbray: "Some from outside Manchester might feign indifference, but nobody can ignore it. This IS the biggest game in the Premier League season so far.

"The best? United at Arsenal last week will take some beating, and much may depend on whether they bring the same approach.

"Who scores first could also be a big factor.

"City have made a recent habit of coming from behind to win, but breaking through the only defence to have conceded fewer goals than themselves won't be quite so much a fait accompli.

"The competition might want a home win to keep the title race truly alive, but more than that it needs a game worthy of the whole world watching.

"Jose, Pep (but mainly Jose) - over to you."
